There is a retail company that TMG Consulting has been partnering with since 2019. When they came to us, they knew they had reached that moment in their business growth where they needed to get serious about their approach to HR, recruiting, and employee onboarding. They understood that HR was something they needed to pay close attention to, but they weren’t ready to hire a full-time HR resource. They also knew that their continued growth would make having a solid HR strategy even more important.
When this client engaged with TMG, the first thing we did was to conduct our HR Audit to ensure HR policies, forms, and practices align with federal, state, and local employment regulations. This included auditing their personnel files to ensure all required HR paperwork and forms were stored correctly. We walked beside them to explore what they already had in place and what gaps they had within the organization. Very quickly, the audit revealed some blind spots and gaps were identified, shining a light on our client’s HR needs and priorities.
With this in hand, it was time to get to work.
We began by creating HR documents to guide the client’s recruiting and onboarding processes. These HR documents included an employment application, an offer letter template, and an onboarding checklist with forms. We created a performance appraisal form and advised the client on their performance management process. We also created the company’s employee handbook and helped educate employees about the new HR policies.
As a result, this client now has HR policies and procedures in place that are aligned with the company’s strategic objectives. We are also providing them ongoing HR support to ensure their continued success.
