Are you Ready? Minnesota’s New Paid Leave Law
Beginning January 1, 2026, Minnesota’s new Paid Family & Medical Leave law will require every employer, regardless of size, to offer job-protected paid time off for qualifying medical, caregiving, bonding, and safety-related reasons. This program introduces significant changes, including mandatory employer payroll contributions, updated policies and handbooks, new reporting obligations, and the need to prepare internal systems well in advance of the 2026 launch.
Many businesses are still unsure what the law requires, what exemptions exist, and how to budget for the impact. If you’d like help reviewing your current policies, planning compliance steps, or building a streamlined HR/accounting workflow ahead of the deadline, our fractional HR & accounting team can guide you through every stage.
